Hi

Yes the new road - Having experienced driving through a freshly tarmaced road in on the way home from Brighton along the downs in the first hire car I hired at 21. It brought back memories as I had no choice other than to drive very slowly through it just as the tar truck was laying it on the crossroads around the 02nd Sept. Thinking I had been cautious, on arrival I got out of our silver Fiat to discover it was no longer silver !! A good tip should it happen again.

Petrol and alot of clean cloths gets it off quickly.

Alot easier than when I hired another car once back in the late eighties and took it to Windsor Safari Park and came out the other end minus my windscreen washer hoses, a wiper blade and an arial !

We drove on the new road last week. I do agree it looks a bit raw at the moment, and hope it will weather with age!
However, the views are fantastic, especially the view over Kalamar Bay. You can see right into peoples swimming pools...so no skinny dipping from now on! You know who you are, and now so do we!!
