Holiday report July 2009

Just returned after a very hot 2 weeks in Kalkan 18/07-2/08/09.  This was our first time in Turkey and we picked a great place in Kalkan, we loved it!.  The town has such a great atmosphere and is so friendly.  The food was just great our favourite restaurants were Kaya, The Olive Garden and Doy Doy.  There is just so much to do.  We had a great boat trip with Falcon a real bargain at 35 liras each which includes at least 5 swimming/snorkelling stops, a mud bath and lunch.  We enjoyed it so much we did it twice as it was easier to cope with the heat.  We tried Kalamar Beach club and Palm beach and both were good.  The buses are easy so we didn't need to hire a car.  We travelled to Kas, Fethiye and Olu Deniz by bus so cheaply.  So sad we had to come home but Kalkan was great one of our best holidays
