I agree Jane, Everytime we passed the Lizo on the way in totown it was always very full (I think a good sign). On Monday evening, we were being picked up at 10.30pm to go to the airport  :-[
We were all ready and just wanted an early meal so taht we could go back to the apartment and chill with a couple of drinks before our journey. When we got to the Lizo it was empty and I just wish we had managed to get there before our last day. The food was great and cooked to order. Huge portions too. My girls both ordered children''s meals and couldn''t eat it all. Give it a go it''s lovely

OK that will be me there next week then!  Looking forward to some good sunshine and eating out on a balmy evening after this shocking summer!  Thanks for the recommendation.

we went to cafa vita on the kalama road twice last week, yes you do have to wait a while, but we sit with a beer or wine and relax, iits a lovley cafa with lights in the trees and bouganvill hanging over the front entrance, mustafa and his wife work so hard, we enjoyed our food simple but nice, the lamb skewer, rice and peppers and their lovely home made chips and believe me they are homemade, we had to order some more they were so moorish, the prices are so reasonable. he told us that he is open all through the winter, give them a try they deserve it, relax and chill out, thats what holls in kalkan are all abought.

I have to agree, the Cafe Vita is fabulous, whether it is for food, or for a few beers and a game of cards (which we managed to stretch through most of one afternoon).  Mustafa and Karola are delightful, and the food is superb and reasonably priced.  They also serve the best mint tea i have ever had.
We also developed a great  ;Dfondness for Snoopy the dog as well!!

Popped in last week for a meal and Mustafa said that next year he is planning a larger kitchen and more staff - so it will certainly improve the waiting time which this year in the peak periods became a little too long.   It is such a great place and they both deserve success for all their hard work.   Pauline

Have been back to Cafe Vita several times this week and have been made very welcome.  Mustafa and Karola work very hard and have extended their cafe to the building next door.  It was very warm and cosy which was very welcome considering how cold it has been this week.  Karola''s soup was to die for and we will definitely be back.  Thank you for the lovely food and welcome.  They are going to be open all winter.

Cafe Vita is going to be fabulous in the summer. Mustafa has planned many expansions to accommodate more people comfortably and the menu keeps expanding as well. If you haven''t stopped by in the winter to try Carola''s fresh homemade soups you''ve missed a treat.

It will be good if he gets it organised properly and you are not waiting ages as happened last year ::)

A bit of a wait, as you say Kevin. Its easier to use Cafe Vita as a take away, and if you get Mustafa to give you a collection time, its usually spot - on.

The reasonable prices and simple well cooked food make this place a hit with us and many holiday makers,
on many occasions last year they were so busy we could not get a table .

In my opinion no wait is to long for Carola''''s, Homemade Chips.

We just sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the warmth of the summer evening.

With the extra seating capacity and larger kitchen they have put in over the winter, hopefully our local Kalamar Bay Restaurant  won''t have to turn us or any other customers away this year.

There will be a new cafe opening at the corner of Menekse Sokak opposite the Xanthos Hotel
We will have to wait and see what their chips are like - we may act as consultants for them in the chip front ;D

We first went to Cafe Vita in June08. The Cafe had not long opened.
We we wearily making our way to Kalamar Bay and we found a lovely little Cafe who did breakfast. It was magic not only did they serve chilled EFS but cooked lovely meals.  We had a serious problem with a leak in our water main to the house, Mustapha not only sorted out a plumber, who was working on his place at the time. But sorted a lift back to Kalarmar Bay as well.
We will always be so grateful to both Mustapha and Carola for their help. We intend to frequent the cafe more this year when we go.
