Curry anybody
« on: June 21, 2013, 06:52:08 AM »
It is I, One Sheet.

We went for a curry in tanZore last night. The restaurant has not long been born and has been open for 3 weeks or so.

The menu is comprehensive and varied but is a restaurant serving Indian food in Turkey a step too far?

The answer is a definite NO. The food was amazingly tasty and well prepared. From beginning to end, the experience was first class. The evening was relaxed and unhurried and I would like to go back again.

Any critical remarks? Yes, but very minor. First, the waiter was a touch premature collecting our crockery, side plates and curry dishes etc, while we were still eating. This should really be left to the end. Secondly, the Ice cream was still very frozen and had to be cut with a knife.

tanZore has been born and is crawling. It will make mistakes as it grows and learns to walk. Soon, it will be up there amongst the best.  :)

Thanks you Sooo much One sheet.....yes we are still crawling as you put it and we will make mistakes, but for me the trick is not to make the same mistakes twice. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. We (7 of us) are eating in tanZore tonight so if anyone reading this is there I would love to meet you.

A review on TripAdviser would be fab  ;) 8) ;)

When we're out there in august we'll deffo pop in, my OH was chuffed to bits when I told him about tanzore, although he loves Turkish food he has Indian withdrawal when we're out there. Ìn fact we usually arrive home from Kalkan  just in time to order an Indian before they close, needless to say the first thing he does as we get through the door is pick up the phone and order  ::) Lucky he can have his fix at your place next time as we don't land  home until late this time so he'd have to continue with his cold turkey intil the following day LOL! We're there for eighteen days so expect more than one visit from us, can't remember if you said you do takeaways and delivery? :-*

We are thinking of trying it tomorrow evening. Should we book? Or can we take a chance?

Does anyone know where the curry place is exactly? We'd love a ruby as long as it's not too hot. A map reference on Google maps or the name of the road/next shop would be useful.

cheers

Next to the Adda Tours office.

Or use the KTLN code map. Simples... go to KTLN http://kalkan.turkishlocalnews.com/portal/ktlc) and look on the map there, code is  KY10 F1 (GRID REF: E6)

Have to say, I found tanZore very reasonable in terms of price compared to other restaurants in Kalkan ???

Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

Try Hunkars prices. Way cheaper. Way more authentic Turkish. If I need a curry tbere's plenty to choose from at home

Sorry to hear you find tanZore expensive.   How much do you expect to pay for a meal in Kalkan ?  Not been rude, just wondering !!!
