Does anyone know where in Kalkan I can buy any type of afterbite stuff.....I have tried everywhere!!! Stupidly didn't bring any, as all other years, haven't been bitten, but covered this year!  :-[
I've tried the pharmacy just past the roundabout at start of Kalamar road, and was told 'No, nothing'....'are you sure??' I asked, and was told again No, sorry nothing,  :'(
Have tried all the supermarkets and can't find anything.
I ideally wanted one of those 'clicker' pens, which a friend swears by, but anything at all would be good....any suggestions anyone..??

Any pharmacy will sell antihistamine gel and hydrocortisone cream, used in conjunction they are an effective treatment for bites.

From what I know Bob, mossies are attracted to very sweaty cheesy smells so you'd have to have some pretty rank perfume on!!!  ;D note to self - must test before I buy at the duty free this year!!
I am going on my annual travel health course next Wednesday, so if anyone has any further questions, just let me know and I'll put them to the lecturer.  :)

We have found that by being regimented about tablet machines in the bedroom with the widows closed for at least two hours before turning in for the night, pretty much solves the night time problem but around dusk we tend to sit in the cool of the evening, we have a few G&TS  and let our guard down and that is when Lynn and I get most of our insect bites.
The only thing I can think of it to tape a bottle of Mossie repellent to the side of the Gin Bottle as a reminder. ;) ;)

Regards   Buster

PS   Please spray the repellent on your body  it is not to be added to the Gin  :)

Hi, I got lots of bites this year also.

We were in California a few years ago and where looking for something to put on bites, the chemist in the supermarket gave me some haemorrhoid cream, when I asked why I'd been given this I was told it helps stop itching and reduces swelling.  I always take some with me now.

I have it on good authority that models use the stuff on their eye-bags when they have an early morning shoot following a late night. Works a treat, apparently ;)

lol
I think as we get older we tend not to give a toss :) But you're right...any of those programmes on TV about naturists the exponents are generally old and wrinkly or middle aged and chubby and have long since been able to view their own privates without the help of a mirror but think its ok to show the rest of us. Yuk and double yuk.
I'm a sucker for new solutions for bites so will be taking the good old haemorrhoid cream along with us next year....might help to erase the late night look too (Brucie Bonus ;))
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)
