Communal insurance.
« on: February 26, 2013, 06:37:29 PM »
We are an owner in a complex of 6 apartments and wondered how other owners in a similar situation organise their buildings/contents and Dask insurance.
At the moment we all pay for these individually (and at different times of year) but we were wondering if it is possible for the management company to organise these insurances and we pay our share of the cost.
If there was a claim required, for example, for a problem with the roof or another communal matter, it seems futile to make 6 seperate claims.
Similarly, if the building was damaged as a result of an earthquake, it would make more sense to claim on one insurance.
We would appreciate the opinions of others and wondered if their management organise the insurance for their whole complex.
Thank you in advance for your help.

It may be worth asking the same question on http://www.turkishliving.com/ after searching on there to see if the question has already been asked.

I have a very responsible position...
When anything goes wrong I’m responsible!!

You can do this with Intasure but it needs 100% of you to be with them (it iused to be 70% but evidently it became too complax if there was a claim). If any owner is a resident in Turkey then they can't insure with Intasure as residents have to insure with a Turkish company (the problem we have on our development).
