Hi,

Arriving in Kalkan on 18/8 for the first time!

I've put up a separate question asking how good taxis are (do we need to go to the expense of hiring cars...?) but I just wondered:

Is there a supermarket in Kalkan which does home-delivery (Ocado style?!?!)

Yali and Can Can supermarkets definately deliver - they'll give you a lift back too.

So this sounds like we would do our shop in the shop rather than on the internet, and they would deliver the shopping as well as us back to the villa? Sounds like a great service, thanks.
I hear there's a new big Migros? Would you happen to know where that is?

Hey no probs. The new Migros is about half way down the hill from the D400 turnoff. It on the right hand side almost opposite the large mosque I think.
Yalis is a little futher down.

Hi Pete,i would stick to Yali and you wont go wrong.Its a big shop with everything.Migros is small,Kipa is small,Genpa does not have the choice and is more expensive.

Also consider that there is a fantastic greengrocer in town where they have a fab choice of fruit and veg and it is so so cheap.Also a couple of fab butchers,although Yali also now has its own butchers department.

Are Yali's now taking customers back again as well as their shopping?? I thought the taxi drivers had stopped them taking customers back a few years ago, although they would still deliver your shopping. Has this all changed again? Hope it has as used to be a really good service.

Well they took mine & 2 friend's wives back in their van.
The blokes had to walk though!

We spent a fair bit, mind. I think they were particularly impressed that we filled 3 trolleys and only 1 had food in!
To be fair the girls would never have been able to carry it all

Best to make sure next shopping trip to Yali,you have brought enough wives/girls with you to ensure successful carrying of shopping back.
