What's your favourite tipple?

This could be an interesting thread!  Mine is dry white wine every time, but what do you drink on holiday in Kalkan and why?

Dry white every time hey Skunk?? 

For me, it depends on the time of day.  If we're out for lunch I will usually have an Efes, when it gets to 6.00pm, its a voddy and diet coke. In the evening, its eithers Lal, voddy and DC or Lal or a cocktail (Mojito's my fave) and you can tell when I've had enough, when I go onto the almond liqueurs!

For our first few holidays didn't drink during the day as they were in August and it was just too hot so scared of getting dehydrated.....but when we were there last October found that lal went down nicely! In the evening either lal or angora red.....followed by a lovely kir royale at Trio!

At home I like bubbly...just can't get a decent one here without dipping drastically into the bag fund
So in Kalkan I stick mostly to gin and soda with a twist of lime....Bombay, naturally I'm also partial to Lal, Angora white and cocktails.....and, like itstime and turkeyfan, a fan of the almond liqueur BH calls Azerbijan

K4E - saw your photo yesterday of the Bombay Sapphire on a table somewhere - looked v inviting. Trouble is you czn't get diet tonic over there for some reason.  Maybe we should start a campaign - also for the double water hammocks with the sun shades - they sound pretty cool!!!

Skunk that photo was taken from the gorgeous balcony of Kalkan Sun apartment in Komurluk about 4 years ago. Diet tonic is not available anywhere I've been in Turkey and the "full-fat" version is just too sweet for me...hence the gin with soda and a twist of lime

Yup sounds a good idea - I will give it a try as in terms of cool drink g and t/soda gives a longer glug than wine.

Our preferred tipple is EFES.
Good news for us is Alis fish and kebab resteraunt is doing a large Efes for 3.50tl.
This means if we have 10 beers each we eat for free.

dark rum...ideally captain morgan... and caffeine free diet coke. wish i could get it on holiday. very few places have it.
