Recent burglaries in Kalkan
« on: May 31, 2012, 10:04:55 PM »
http://kalkan.turkishlocalnews.com/portal/kalkan-news/228759-watch-out-burglars-about

According to KTLN news (See link above) there have been a few burglaries in  the Kızıltaş area of Kalkan this week. Is it just a coincidence or could there be a connection between the poisoning of the dogs in Kızıltaş at the weekend and the sudden spate of burlaries that followed in the same area??

Can you expand your thinking on your this!! Are you trying to say that someone or some group has got it in their minds to give Kalkan a bad name!? Surley not ...

Oh! ...  do you mean poison the dogs so that they cant make a noise as your trying to break in.... now that makes sense.

The burglars and whoever poisoned our street dogs, need catching and catching fast

There were a few doors broken open in Kalamar over the last couple of weeks.
Luckily not too much stolen, as they were empty at the time.

BL - perhaps not the best time to be posting on here about poisoned food...

Emma no İ am not suggesting that someone is trying to get Kalkan a bad name and İ'm not sure where that idea came from. İ am just wondering if there could be a connection between the break-ins and the dogs being poisoned - maybe there is no connection at all. What İ am asking is that people remain vigilant.
Eniste - i doubt very much that any local people are involved in these breakins, and even if they were İ hardly think they would read EK forum posts and think 'Ah now there's' an idea! Perhaps İ have misunderstood your post -if so i am sorry.

I do wonder why news already reported on KLTN then has to be placed on the Enjoy Kalkan site.

People are talking about what happend to the the dogs on here because what has happend is in the local news, Shocking news .... not Enjoyable at all (as in - Enjoy Kalkan) but this being a forum, a place to discuss things, well people are discussing things !!

same as talking about burglars ... no good, but we have in the past shared ideas for improving security in and around our villas etc.

Saskia - difficult to see how such a brief message could be misinterpreted or cause offence - certainly no criticism of any party intended at all.  I just thought BL's suggested method of dealing with criminals with 'dodgy' sandwiches was not in the best taste, given the sad events with poisoned dogs last weekend.

Enişte sorry I had indeed misunderstood your comment - we are probably all a little over sensitive at the moment given recent events . . .

Fully understood.  In Latin, I believe the phrase is Nil te Confundant Illegitimii (Don't Let the B*****ds get you down).

I am following the wise words of Craig David as regards EK - 'I'm walking away'...
