calling all kalkan forum experts, calling all kalkan forum experts :D

this kalkan newbie is kindly requesting your collective help, insights and experiences in reviewing my proposed trip itinerary for april 29 - may 5

will be at the club patara resort for a week starting this sunday and i've worked out this proposed schedule:
sunday
1.  explore resort area
2.  turkish bath (at patara or atlantic wellness - hope either one is open)
3.  trip to town in evening - are there any recommended supermarkets/shops to pick up basic supplies?

monday
day tour to xanthos, the gorge and patara beach with volume travel turkey

tuesday
trip to feithye - is taking the dolmus the best transport mode for 3 persons, or is a taxi a better option? if anyone knows of a reliable, trusty taxi driver that they have used before and can recommend, i'd be grateful.

wednesday
day tour to kekova island with volume travel - does anyone know of any kekova-kas tours?

thursday
day in kalkan to visit market, souvenir shops, etc

friday
still undecided - suggestions welcome!!!!!!!

saturday
depart for istanbul

ANY suggestions/comments will be welcome! thanks :)

Go to the bus station (otogar) and buy a ticket at the Bati Antalya desk.  Nice comfortable bus at a very reasonable cost.  We arrive 1 day after you. Don't use up all the sunshine

Dear Ryss,

I would recommend you to go Saklıkent, xantos, patara in the same day.
For more freedom I would suggest you a hired car instead of joining a tour company.

Turkish bath is quite nice idea. Atlantis is one of the nicest one.

You can drive to Fethiye and eat fish at the Fish Market. Highly Recommended. Again with hired car!

Come to Kas and see Friday Market until lunch time and have a boat trip to see sun set or go to Kekova. Drive back to Kalkan. Ask you tour operator if they offer transfer from Kalkan for free.

Go to Islamlar Village and visit Ciftlik Restaurant tastetrout fish.

Spend time at the Kaputaş beach. Don't forget to bring your volley  ball.

Enjoy your bublies everyday with the Sun Set.

Enjoy Kalkan and Kas!!!

The Bati Antatalya bus to Fethiye from the bus station works out at about £20 each return. I think car hire would be cheaper for the three of you but if you're not comfortable driving, check out the taxi prices on the board at the taxi rank. The fish market is always a "must do" for us - buy your fish from one of the stalls and take it to one of the restaurants in the marketplace and they will cook it for you - with chips and salad. Then sit back and watch the entertainment of the market itself whilst you eat ;D.
Also there's a little supermarket just up from Patara Prince for your essentials then the nearest to you would be the new Genpa supermarket which you will see as you walk into town (close to the new location for Oz Adana).
Have a great stay

Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

Rhyss, I would echo Babs.   You need to save at least one day for just relaxing.   We spent our first two or three holidays in Kalkan, many years ago, just wandering quietly around the village, relaxing with books, admiring the scenery, enjoying the food and wine.   If people asked us where we were going that day we would look at them in amazement and say "But we are here!".  Yes, a lot of wonderful places to visit from Kalkn but you will miss something if you don't spend some time just enjoying being there.
