Please can anyone advise on good activities for rainly days?

Hello All, Cris my husband and I are due to arrive in Kalkan late this Thursday (14th Jan 2010) for 4 days/5 nights. Having just checked the weather report, it appears that pretty heavy rain is forecast for at least 2-3 of the days. We've only been to Kalkan once before and have already decided to buy an apartment so some of our time will be spend viewing the progress with the build. However, our last trip was in September when the weather was amazing and we were spoilt with choices of activites. Can anyone please suggest any good activites locally for the rainy days too? We will have a hire car so travel to other areas would not be a problem for us if needed. Any suggestions very gratefully received!  Kind regards, Elaine and Cris.

You could try searching for activities using the forum search facility or have a look on KTLN - www.turkishlocalnews.com. Think it was reported on KTLN or here on EK that Parc Kalkan are showing films now...!

The EK forum is quite quiet at this time of year, so you might not hear back in time before your trip.

Hi Elaine

Spend a relaxing afternoon having a turkish bath. Good one behind the Yali supermarket.

Drive up to one of the trout restaurants in Islamlar for lunch. First one you come to is nice if it is open this time of year.After lunch carry on up the hill past the village and keep going till you come to the main road. Turn right and return to Kalkan through Bezirgan. Scenery is stunning.

Go to Istakbal in Kas to shop for furniture. You should get some really good deals this time of year.
