Turkish Bath
« on: September 07, 2011, 01:29:57 PM »
Hello,

We are coming to Kalkan on Sunday (can't wait) and we are wanting to book in for a turkish Bath at the beginning of our hols. We have been recommended the Regency Hotel as it is nearish to where we are staying. I have sent them an email (a few days ago) inquiring about costs and if it is possible to book. So far I have not had a reply. Does anyone know how much it costs at the Regency? I have searched on here but everything I have found is a couple of years old. Also does anyone know the best way to book from the UK?

Also any tips about going for a Turkish bath as this will be our first time would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Martin

Hi, we went to the Regency in June for our first ever Turkish bath!
Can recommend it, we tried booking from the uk but couldn't find any way of doing it , we stayed at the Lizo hotel and Sarah phoned the Regency on our first day and booked it for us , can't remember the price, (i'll get back to you on that when i've asked my OH!), we booked in as a couple and afterwards you sit in the relaxation room and have cucumber water and tea.
The young masseur we had took great delight in throwing cold water over us!! I will get back to you with the price, i think we paid in English money.
Nicky.

Hi Martin, we paid £34 each for Turkish bath. Well worth it.

I recently took some friends who'd never had a Turkish bath before to Atlantis - they loved it!  We paid 75 TL (well under £30) for the full package (Turkish bath, clay mask and full body massage with oil).  Maybe not as posh as some of the hotels but very good service.  I've been there many times.  I wasn't sure if one of my friends would like it so I was a bit anxious about how she might react but she thought it was great fun and of course we all felt wonderful afterwards.  My tip would be to just lay back, relax and enjoy - it's a truly Turkish experience that is a fab start to your holiday.

Ps we just turned up and booked for the next day - most places are open very long hours and can fit you in at relatively short notice.
