Beach clubs and jet skis
« on: September 10, 2011, 11:23:12 AM »
In three weeks we'll be back in paradise  ;D  can't wait to escape the dreich weather in Edinburgh.  This visit we're going to at last go to a beach club for the first time - had planned to do that May/June, then I slipped and tore a ligament in my foot  ::)  Anyway, we fancy a wee spin on a jetski.  Other threads indicate that Kalamar beach club has them, but you can also see them at a beach club over Kisla way...which club is that?  And anyone know what they charge for how long?  Thanks!

We usually go to Palm Beach club and OH has hired a jet ski from there. Sorry he can't remember how much it cost but thinks20/30 pounds ish ??? ???
Boat from harbour takes you over, food and drinks not too expensive and plenty of lovely shaded areas to chill. They will arrange a taxi to take you directly back to your villa/hotel if you prefer which is always a bonus for us as saves the walk up from the harbour after a long day :)

I don't want to seem to be "getting at" anyone, but I do wish the relevant authorities would ban the use of jet-skis in Kalkan bay. They really do shatter the peace and quiet in a way that the sound of gulet or fishing boat engines doesn't.

Thanks Itstime - sounds perfect.  Mags - I must admit I've never heard the jetskis when relaxing on Kalkan beach or sipping a cool Efes at Kleo...

Funny you should say that as I've never thought about it until Mags mentioned it  but like you I've never heard any noise and we use both the town beach and the beach clubs regularly. Only boat noise I ever hear is the gentle "phut phut" of the day trip boats as they enter and leave the harbour :)

I have to agree....never been disturbed by the sound of jet skis etc at Palm Beach, Mahal, town beach.....admittedly it can get a bit noisier at Kalamar Beach Club but that's probably because its very family orientated.....if you want peace and quiet then its easy to find
