There was a very glossy brochure produced last year to show what the current administration has achieved (or plans to achieve soon).  It's worth a look, to see things like the road from Bar Chocolate up to Samira Gardens, the changing facilities by the town beach, smartening up the two central roundabouts etc.  It may not completely take away your feelings about the water problems, but why not try to find a copy?

Did the brochure include updating/sorting out the on-going water pump problem? whilst all of the above improvements are to be applauded, certainly regarding the new road and beach improvements. But I still believe that having a functioning water supply should always be the priority.

No doubt, when the elections come around we will see what the voters/residents of Kalkan remember the most

No, like any 'political' brochure, they went for the positives!  It's two years until the next local elections and I would guess that, like many voters, the voters of Kalkan will be most swayed by more recent experience and the promises made by their candidates.  If water supply remains an issue, I guess improvement of that supply will be high on the list of promises made and perhaps to be kept.
