Dinner In!

Adam picked us up today and we spent from 9.30am on Kaputas Beach. The sea was that special azure blue and the waves were great fun. Managed to cope with the heat until around 11.30am and then invested in the 5TL umbrella!

The odd boat would come and go and people dive into the sea. It was a lovely few hours.

By 1.30pm we were needing some lunch, so we rang Adam and he was there before we had climbed the 190 or so steps to the top - and what a view!

Adam's a great guy, and realising we were covered in salt, he hosed us down on his terrace and then we sat back and enjoyed a lovely lunch. The stuffed aubergine was to die for and the mushroom saute....but these were not new to us!

What better, after a lovely lunch, than to rest at the Mediteran, dozing and coming out of the shade at 5pm to enjoy that lovely time of day, as the sun goes down...

It was around 8pm by the time we arrived back at The Nur tonight, and not wanting to turn around and eat in one of so many lovely restaurants, it was a quick stop at the butchers down the hill ("Hello my friend, 500grs of fresh chicken breast - he winked, 5TL?"!), just up the hill a bit to the greengrocer - red peppers, mushrooms, onions - 2TL "I am expensive!") and then home to cook Chicken with Mushrooms & peppers in a brandy, cream and garlic sauce. What better way to end a lovely day - with a bottle of LAL Rose, of course, while Mrs A enjoys here Angora Red!

Tomorrow morning is Market Day and (apparently) we have some unfinished business to do with handbags?!

Cheers

Another great report, Antler. We love it at Kaputas, too :)
If you didn't manage to finish that unfinished business with bags, you'll find Nuri (next to Moonlight) just as cheap as the markets ;)
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)
