I fly out on the 8th of june for my first visit to Kalkan. I am getting ready for the vast amounts of Efes to be consumed. which is the best bar to watch the Englan football match next Wednesday.

I would go for the Roof Top bar under cover no glare issues top quality flat screen TV and cold Efes on tap...8th of June you''ll just miss the new regulations about wearing replica football shirts in the town.....

Hiya dylanleeds,loads of places for football,moonlight,kaya,utopia all on the top street in the village,also No name bar which has a massive screen or you could try the swan pub,no doubt mr Lizard will be watching at the Swan,also BBQ at the roundabout,but dont forget,dont wear your England,wife beater,trailer trash yob hooligan football shirt or you might get talked about !

And don''t forget you will be escorted to the edge of town and left there if your caught wearing a football shirt...if its a Southampton shirt you will be shot on the spot

I hope my Leeds United shirt doesn''t make me out to be a yobish thug who drinks 15 pints. Are we allowed to cheer our country on by any chance  . My friend who owns the apartment whare i am staying has mentioned the moonlight bar to me. her said the musics good and the beer is cold

The beers cold in most bars,but moonlight seems to have a good crowd when footballs on,drink 15 pints and cheer on England to your hearts content,it wouldnt bother me,and if I was in kalkan then, I would probably join you !

There should be plenty of football on in bars - even though Turkey''s group aren''t playing this time I''m sure they''ll have some of the bigger matches on throughout that week. Also, Dylan, no need to worry about the glare of the sun, England''s game is an evening kick-off in UK. You will just need to bag a seat by the tv early on.

I will be in for wednesdays game..(i''m travelling during saturdays)..I shall be carrying out extensive research between Sat night  and wednesday as to what is on offer..(most importantly..Picture quality,coldness of beer,ease of service,nibbles available,toilets,) this will involve frequent bar visits ..but someones got to do it!!
