Mobile phones on transfers

Although it''s probably not illegal in Turkey is there any way to stop the drivers using their hand held mobiles and texting whilst transferring customers? The taxi company that this forum promotes is one of the worst offenders. I had a hair raising transfer last week and because the taxi driver had no English & I had no Turkish I was unable to object but he played with his mobile for most of the journey.

No these are mini buses going up the Carretta road but i know what you mean about tourists

The transfer was not booked with EK but direct with ADDA. This is not the first time that the drivers have used mobiles but certainly the worst and longest. I only mentioned that it is a company promoted by this forum and therefor thought EK may have more sway.

It is an offence to use the mobile phone while driving in Turkey the same as it is in the UK.

LOL - is it really...!!    So then the turks take as little notice of that law as the brits here too then..!!

The biggest difference is that here they are going about 70 kph and in Britain 70mph.
