I googled this subject a few months back and found that the duties charged on electrical goods are very high, to persuade those moving here to buy locally.  There is a helpful official from the Turkish ministry of trade/customs etc which you should be able to find.  Gary the regional satellite man may know more.

This has already been covered on here before.  Apparently it is illeagal to bring electrical items into Turkey.  If you do a search for electrical goods in the search box at the top of the page you should be able to find the previous threads on this subject.

Currently have a duplex apartment in Kiziltas which we visit as often as we can.

Hi
I must say i carried my 32 inch plasma (well wrapped) in my suitcase no problem and it has been sitting pretty on my wall in my villa ever since.
I was even impressed to see that someone had wrapped fragile tape all over my suitcase,
Im sure it is not allowed to bring such electrical goods into the country but its whether you are prepared to face losing it or paying the fines imposed if caught.
All i can say i was lucky
