Booking restaurants
« on: June 24, 2008, 08:52:04 AM »
Hi all.

We are off to Kalkan on saturday (yay - only 4 more sleeps  ;D) and I''ve recently noticed a few posts about people wanting to book restaurants ahead of travelling. I just wondered how many of you feel this necessary?

We were last out in July 2006 and never struggled to walk in and get a table anywhere, they seemed reasonably quiet compared to what I was expecting after reading websites advising us to book. I love having a wander round and seeing what takes my fancy that particular night, but wondered if I should think about booking for the ''posher'' restaurants?

Thanks!

If you definitely want a best view table at a roof top restaurant on a specific night it can be worth popping in in the morning or the day before to secure it - specially on the day before any main changeover day as a lot of peeps want to eat somewhere special on their last night. Otherwise I''ve never had a problem getting a table.

If there''s just a couple of you there usually isn''t a problem. If you are in a large group however it''s probably a good idea to book if you want to eat in a particular restaurant, at a particular time or to have the ''best seats''.

Hi, thanks for the advice.
It''s just the 2 of us, so may book somewhere special like you say for our last night.
Now all we have to do is decide which one''s to go to, but already looking forward to Oz Adana''s great Pides and Kebabs with the yummy plates of fresh parsley and chillies!

2 more sleeps!  ;D
