mobile phones and correct code

Hi All

After having a HUGE phone bill earlier on this year, I now have invested in a cheap mobile and Turkcell sim, which is registered to my apartment.

I''m also with T-mobile and a very nice man there, sent me details on how to unblock my phone, so that I can use the local sim card whenever I am abroad!

if you''re not in Turkey often enough to warrant a Turkcell mobile then when you are in the UK go into Carphone Warehouse and get a ''Sim4Travel'' sim card. These are pay as you go and can be popped into any unblocked mobile. All texts and calls received while abroad are free (and these are usually the ones that run up your bill) - and their website (sim4travel.net) will give you the call costs from all of the countries. From memory think Turkey is about 29p per minute - a lot cheaper than the £1.41 per min on vodaphone. Works in pretty well all countries and can be topped up on the phone or on the website. All my friends have that number as my overseas number. BA also sell them but you won''t get them in any of the network mobile shops (for obvious reasons)
