samira apartments and gym

Could anybody help out with a recent review of the Samira Apartments
Additionally,I believe a Gym has recently opened would soebody help me out with location and some details.

Welcome to the Forum - Chris..!!  Ok - the gym is located on the road that leads up to the Thursday market - on the left hand side where the Yali Supermarket is - towards the back of that new white complex on the first floor over the Atlantis hammam.  They do yearly, monthly, weekly and daily rates - which I guess for visitors - you will need the daily/weekly rate - I think they said the daily rate was 10ytl - so not too bad.  They have treadmills - quite good looking ones - bikes (I think.. ) and lots of free weights, mats and fitballs so it is quite well equipped with lovely views over the bay. There was no a/c when I looked but was assured they would have some by the summer..!!

The air con has been fitted in the gym and there are blinds blocking out the sun during the heat of the day.  In the evenings it is just about bearable with the doors open and no air con but not for much longer!!  There are 4 treadmills, 2 cross trainers, 4 bikes, step machines and spinners, as well as a huge selection of weights etc.  There are also yoga classes at 1pm every weekday.

They are open from 08.00 to midnight but at the moment the gym is not terribly busy so it tends to close earlier.  The fact that it is not busy means there is never a queue for the machines.

The quoted prices are:

1 hour - 10 YTL
1 week - 40 YTL
15 days - 75 YTL
1 month - 100 YTL

Hi,
Which ones do you mean? Samira have 1 bed on the Samira Hotel site or 3 bed behind hotel. There is also Samira Deluxe up above the Petrol Station. Samira totally revamped the apartments last year and are really nicely done. New bar and friendly staff.

We always stay in a villa just up from the SD and often walk down for a drink use the air hockey machine etc etc, we also had a meal there one evening when we couldn''t be bothered to walk into town. I have always found the staff helpful and friendly the food is nice, what really impressed me is the attention to keeping the pool and bar area tidy and clean. Pool side tables are cleared very quickly you will not see any litter around the pool area.

If you go look for our Portsmouth F.C pennant that my son took over for the guys to hang behind the bar again they were really pleased and thanked him for thinking of them.

Where we stay over looks their villa''s which again look very nice and well kept. We have been going for the last three years now and and the SD has always been consistently good only down side they had to stop the free shuttle service into town.
