Kebab restaurant
« on: May 06, 2008, 11:32:19 AM »
Anyone hear of a Kebab place opening down on the harbour (up where the Indian restaurant was open a couple of years ago)?

The old Massala Zone was been kitted out last week as a new restaurant, not sure of its name though

The new kebab restaurant is next to Kleo Bar. My OH and I ate there last week (although they weren''t even officially open!) and although the portions were quite small (enough for me but not hubbie), the food was really tasty, especially the lamb. I am hoping they will include lamb and chicken doner on the menu but they didn''t have it last week. The most spectacular part, for a harbour side restaurant, was the prices! V V cheap, and good quality. Give it a try, it''s always good to give new businesses a chance I think.

It''s good and very simplistic food and for the prices which are very reasonable you get a wonderful view - hope that it survives as the rent is probably very expensive.
So it would be great if people supported it and it might lower prices in adjoining restaurants

If lamb doner is on the menu, my BH will make it a regular stop on our way up from the harbour - day or night
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

O0 Chilled out place to eat and drink with lovely veiws across the harbour great value for money They are saying they will be open 24/7 - maybe an alternative stop off after a night in the harbour. Incidentally, for those interested you can also logon to wi-fi.

Must confess to drinking G&Ts in Kleo bar one night after a lovely meal out...and getting the ''midnight munchies'' and ordering a kebab from the Kebab restaurant next door...and eating it in Kleo...which was naughty...but very nice!!! ;D

Just back from 17 glorious days in Kalkan and wanted to post that the Kebab House is fantastic - free meze, free fruit for dessert and PROPER doner!!! Wonderful staff and food, on the front and inc. drinks 30YTL...can''t praise this place enough, really hope Oz can make a go of it - although he''s worried he might have to start putting his prices up - I''m sure the rent is phenomenal. Also have to say the Kalkan Fast Food cafe was also fab - not the best location but excellent doners and fabulous service - my BH wanted chilli sauce...they didn''t have any but nipped to Tesko to oblige  :)

The Kalkan Fast Food Cafe is on the roundabout - not to be confused with the Roundabout Cafe...on the other roundabout....are you following this???  ;D
It is actually called the Kalkan Fast Food Cafe and its practically next to Oz Adana - handily close to Tesko for the essential chilli sauce. My BH considers himself a bit of a kebab nut, and said the Kalkan Fast Food Cafe was his personal favourite....I had chicken sish (lovely) and with two beers, and two fresh orange juices the bill was incredibly less than £10 - and they deliver!
If you''re still confused, find Tesko, face it and look to your left.....by the way BH was impressed that his beer glasses were frozen - a nice touch for a small, cheap place. Good luck to them.
The Kebab House is on the front next to Kleo, and we did see another down by Coast, but we didn''t manage to get there.

Ithought it was called quick burger or has another one opened, the one I went to every afternoon is near the big roundabout just before the pedestrianised bit with the spikes(ali babas, deli tom etc) inbetween the veg shop and the little supermarket, just before the rd that takes you up to the adda furniture store.     Neil.
