Be sure to try Kalkan Fast Food Cafe this year, Neil. Also excellent doners according to my BH

I had a few meals at the fast food place last year,pretty good,and a great bunch of lads who run it,and as its next door to the Samira I think we will be eating there a few times

When we are in Kalkan (3 times a year-lucky us!!!!) we always visit the kebab house restaurant because we love the views and most of all the tasty food and the friendly service. This time round we had some fabulous cocktails at the bar and indulged in 2 of their special fish and special kebab dishes which were unsurpassable. This place gets better with every visit!! Try it, you won''''t be disappointed.

We went there last year, on the basis of a recomendation on this site - it was pretty good but not anything special. Not good enough to go back, given the number of really good restaurants we want to fit in each timewe visit.

Can''t say it is my favorite place to eat either, tried it once, wasn''t that bad but not good enough to go back.

Gotto agree with littlelin,last year it wasnt to bad,but,went there on our first night the other week and it was dreadful,and no balloon bread ! seems to be different staff to last year,this might be the reason.

What a shame about the Kebab House - it was such a great place to eat and the puffy bread was my favourite...along with the price for a harbour side restaurant

I am so gutted about this. It was such a great spot at a reasonable price. Oh well I hope we can find another reasonable price place to eat. Cafe Vita sounds good but a fair way out of town.

We had a snack at Omars on market day and it was very nice although packed. We intend to go there before having a Thursday evening at The Nur listening to the live music. See seperate forum.

Well the Kebab Restaurant is no more, it closed (can''t say I''m sorry) and the premises have now been taken over by The Seaport Fish & Kebab Restaurant. We didn''t try it because we weren''t aware it had changed hands although we may do so in October. Apparently they also own a restaurant with the same name in Bodrum.

Littlelin, I appreciate your experience of the Kebab House wasn''t a good one, but we only ever had enjoyable meals and good service there last year so I AM sorry that things didn''t work out for Oz. I hope the new owners have more success.

last year the kebab restaurant was great,but we called in on our first night in may this year(on my say so)
and it wasnt very good,but the staff didnt look like the ones from last year,maybe that was the problem .
