B.L., I think I've mentioned on another Thread about holiday music that I don't bring any over from the U.K., but just listen to whatever music comes my way by chance. Some obviously will leave me cold, but some, hopefully, will make me smile from the memories it evokes, some will make me table drum (until I get the look from Chris!), and maybe some will stir the hairs on the back of my neck. There is always good music (recorded or live) flowing from the two Kaptan restaurants. Last year when the duo Blues a la Turka were playing at Kaptan by the harbour, a fellow Brit and I sat in, he playing Blues harmonica and myself on Congas . Now that really was fun, especially as I hadn't played Congas before, but Janet, Knowing I was a kit drummer, persuaded me to get up and do it. Any forum members there that night? Cafe Del Mar has good music too, and a great laid back vibe.
Cheers all, Allan.
