« on: July 29, 2012, 09:52:38 AM »
Hi all

If we were to go down the road of getting an alarm/security camera fitted in our villa - where would the helpful members reccommend that we go to in Kalkan to have a good value but efficient system fitted ?

thanks in advance  ;D

Try Kalkan Electric who have a shop on Sehitler Cad near the new location for Oz Adana. (That is the road leading out of the village just above the Taxi rank.) Location code is OA2 D15 on KTLN. Or, phone  844 1217.
There - over there, there are.            To - Going to
Their - belongs to them.                     Too - In addition, Also
They're - Short for they are.

Pedant! me?

If you want a wireless electronic security system with an outside alarm, Pronet from Istanbul, is willing to install and service these in Kalkan if there are at least 15 buyers (contact Billy at Coast restaurant for more information).  These systems utilize motion detectors or surveillance cameras and are linked to 2-3 phone numbers which are automatically called in turn if the alarm rings.  If the correct code is not given or no one responds to the callback, they call the Jandarma in Kalkan and ask them to go to the home.

I heard there is also a security installation company in Fethiye but I do not know their name.  Our system was installed by Sekotek, also in Istanbul.  They will come for a single installation but you have to pay their round-trip airfare.

In our area of 16 villas, 4 have these wireless security systems.
