WHERE TO STAY
« on: August 24, 2011, 01:26:28 PM »
I would be interested to hear opinions of where is the best area in Kalkan to rent a villa. I recently stayed in one up by the Green school building and the views and access into town were fine but wondered if the other side of Kalkan might be better? Any suggestions please?
Thanks

We prefer the area by the New  school...stayed in most areas of Kalkan and find this suits us best,as you say easy access to village and supermarkets..some will say the views and breeze higher up the hills are nicer but i prefer to be able to stroll into the village in 5 mins rather than taxi rides  ;)
People Of Britain.. When your missus asks "Does my bum look big in this? Never say "Dunno your blocking the light."... just sayin ????

 ta ta for now

By the "New School" do you mean the green one, or is that an old school?
Thanks for your advice

BL - means the Green School - which is now no longer green - but a pleasant duck egg blue and lemon...but still referred to as the green school...old habits die hard!!! :)

We love Kormurluk as it gets the sun longer than most places because of it position - we've often still been out sunbathing on the balcony at 8pm in June.
We also like the exercise the walking back and to generates ;D
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)
