We have no water up by Yalihan... We've been told it's off in the village and we're waiting for someone to come and switch over to our storage tanks...apparently Booked for Mussaka tonight and I might have to go with "beach hair" and BH with stubble...The kids left Palm Beach early and had showered before the water went off here

it;s off again all afternoon and evening so far, lets hope it is only for a day and night, am in kalamar. Maybe they have turned it off to clean the pipes so that everybody doesn't catch the bug!! Whatever the reason lets hope it's back soon

the water was on briefly this morning early and is off again now, am in kalamar, hot and smelly!

I have just called the belediye on the English line which started off well, when i asked why the water was off she suddenly didn't speak English! Then i was told it would be on tomorrow so do i believe her? Her English seemed pretty good to start with. Does anybody know when it' going to come on? I have no tank or swimming pool so it's pretty dire where i am.

You poor thing zola, it really is a pain when it goes off without warning.............looks like a trip to the town beach for you.....dont forget the soap

KD's right zola, the very cold showers at the town beach are working fine - I would seriously consider it if someone hadn't come last night and switched us over to the reserve tanks. I was up very early this morning and there were some announcements over the tannoy about 7am - in Turkish of course. I assume it was about the water

Not happy been on the phone to the belediye but keeps cutting off! no water is no fun but everyone who has water seems to think of it as a joke don't reply with a crass comment am fed up with this, anything i post either gets shut off or a stuipid comment follows . does anyone think that no water in this heat is a joke? hope that whom ever posts these stupid comments gets the same as i am getting. this is a serious post don't insult me

zola, I wasn't being funny , nor did I intend to insult you. I actually seriously considered a shower at the beach yesterday, as cold as they are I would have felt cleaner. We boiled a lot of bottled water in the end so we could wash ourselves. We are very lucky that the apartments we are renting have reserve tanks, but there wasn't anyone available to switch them over yesterday. I totally understand your frustration and annoyance, but my reply was actually serious

Zola - do stop getting so angry with everyone on this forum. At a guess I reckon that at least 60%+ of us are not in Kalkan at the moment so how do you expect us to have an answer to your immediate problems? Get yourself down to the mayor's office, don't give us flak!

kalkann4eva i am sorry that my comment looked like it was aimed at you as but  it wasn't. I have posted a couple of things and it was my mistake after a few wines and i think i mixed the posts up so i am really sorry.
 the water is on today and yes it's a good idea about the beach showers, i won't use them as by the time i have walked to the beach from kalamar had a shower and back again i may need another one!
