CHEAP AND CHEERFUL!

We all like value for money so I wanted to mention some great and reasonably priced food I've had recently.  First up, you should get down to see Ferhat at Al Fresco Garden cafe, just 30m from the Kalamar Road roundabout, in front of the Buket pharmacy.  They have a lovely lady making the freshest 'gözleme' pancakes on a hotplate and priced at just 7TL, or 8TL if you go for the fully loaded options.  This is also a great peoplewatching place and even more fun to watch cars and scooters bottoming out on the speedbump outside!

Also had the new pizza and pide range the guys at Parc Kalkan have introduced - the chicken and the minced beef pides were fantastic and I challenge anyone to find a better crust anywhere in Kalkan.

I hope that this doesn't upset the often self-appointed advert police but I think we all need to know about good value food in these difficult economic times.  Afiyet olsun!

When I was in Kalkan a couple of weeks ago Ferhat's pancakes were recommended to me, but I didn't realise where they were - We will have to try them next time.

We love Parc as well, with 4 teenagers with us it was shame they weren't doing the pides 2 weeks ago ;(

Oh well there's always September!
