I can't believe I'm asking this after 6 visits to Kalkan but.....is Fener Cafe the one I think of as the lighthouse cafe, where they make the ice cream?

Walk along the harbour, past Aubergine which will be on your right, you get to the bit where the road bends up to the left up to Doy Doy, keep straight on the harbour road and it is on your right. It stretches out into the harbour and they have a little ice cream place. The green lighthouse is in their grounds.

It is cheap compared to UK, I suspect people compare within Kalkan though.
When looked at in isolation, a mixed grill (example only!!) is a mixed grill, but when you add in location, service, food quality, ambience etc I think the higher prices are justified.
We also ate in the Kalamaki, very quiet only us and 2 other couples, food and service excellent, Kosk? again very quiet but excellent.
This was the first time we have been to Kalkan so early in the season, it was nice to be able to get in to any restaurant and bar(s) without any booking or waiting but the atmosphere was a little strange.
I woke up last night to find the ghost of Gloria Gaynor standing at the foot of my bed. At first I was afraid.......then I was petrified

Absolutely love the cold mixed meze at Fenner. I always describe it as Kalkan on a plate. Delicious, colourful and always want more :)
