Adda deal
« on: April 18, 2011, 02:04:20 AM »
Hi All

We are looking into hiring a jeep for a week whilst in Kalkan in May. Adda have a deal on for a jeep one week at £150. Does this seem reasonable. I have heard horror stories about them on here.

Hi Nadine,we are in Kalkan in May and have used Adda many times. They are a  big reputable company in Kalkan, and always seem professional to me.With regard to the price,if £ 150 is for seven days then it only works out just over twenty pounds a day. This is good as you would expect to pay £ 20 to £25 for a basic runaround.I would trust them totally but it is your decision.

Hi cowgirl..........have you had a jeep before. We had one there 2 years ago, they look the part but in my opinion they are dogs. Heavy to drive, heavy on juice, stiff suspension, hot, and low on power. We went up around saklikent and it was hard work, clutch was stiff as my back and the brakes were terrible. I suppose it could have been a one off but last year we just had a Hyundi, it was great. The total opposite of the jeep and ice cold inside. Very important when trying to keep an efes cold.........you pays ya money and ya takes ya chance. Have a great time, we will be there early september. Ray

I totally agree with cleworthallray re. the jeep!   Had one and it was an absolute pig, dreadful to drive, had a mind of its own, esp. the steering!  I have driven everything from a tank to a HGV so think I know
by now how to drive!  It looks good parked outside the villa/hotel and that is about all!

Just had one for a week rubbish to drive and only did 20mpg. With petrol at nearly £8 a gallon we spent around £200 on petrol.
