The Frosted Glass
« on: March 02, 2011, 12:56:30 PM »
I have noticed over the last couple of years how difficult it is becoming to find an iced glass!! you could find these in loads of places but they seem to be vanishing...nothing is nicer than an iced glass after a day roasting on the beach or drifting round the market...that first taste and the extra "Brrrr" it gives an Efes is just dandy!! any ideas to the wherabouts of these glasses will be welcome ;)

The Frosted Glass, that would be a good name for the new restaurant?

Both Aubergine and Fener Cafe were doing them last year and replacing with a new ice cold frosted glass everytime you ordered another beer - bliss!

Palm Beach Club and Korner (what was Kalkan Fast Food)...always a frosted glass. We put our glasses in the freezer in our accomodation so always have the perfect frosted glasses for our sundowners....which do admittedly sometimes ocurr before the sun goes down :o
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

I've been to bar where the actual glass was made of ice and the beer poured it.....you had to drink it quite quickly as the ice would start to melt but it was really amazing  ;D ;D ;D ;D

By the time i'd walked from Kalkan market to Iceland i'd need a beer!! :o :o  wouldn't your lips stick to the glass?....friends of ours went to the ice hotel(scandanavia) .....i was curious how they went to the loo ? did they stick?or do you take a rubber ring? ::)

i shall be carrying out extensive research into the elusive frosted glass during my next visit.....
