Glass bottom boats?
« on: January 30, 2009, 09:42:23 PM »
Hi,

Just wondered if there are any glass bottom boat trips - in particular Kekova?

Thanks in advance, Claire  :)

Hi Claire  I don''t think there are any glass-bottom boats in the area but certainly plenty of others worth venturing out on especially from Kekova.  I don''t swim but have enjoyed a couple of trips on the sunken city tour.

Hi
There are glass bottom boats at Kekova, I would imagine all of them are? Swimming there is bliss.

The gulets at Kekova mostly have bits of wood that come up to reveal a glass viewing area where you can look down and see the treasures of the sunken city!!

Cheers!

Great news.  Glass bottom boats always make me feel very nostaligic, they bring back very warm childhood memories!

With regards to swimming at Kekova, I am getting conflicting reports about whether swimming around the sunken city is allowed or not.  Fingers crossed it is!

Thanks, Claire.

Swimming is not allowed (or canoeing) around or over the sunken city - but you will get taken to the most delightfully pretty places around where swimming is absolutely heavenly!

Enjoy!  :D

spot on Felicity. Swimming absolutely forbidden at the sunken city but the trip stops for swimming at lots of other places. One of the best days out from Kalkan in my opinion. And don''t forget the obligatory ice cream stop for the most delicious home made fruity ice cream. Utter bliss!
