What about 'çanak' which is the traditional dish made from red clay in south eastern Turkey.
Or..'çanaklar' which is the plural..

How about 'Arkadaş' or 'Kardeş' or 'Enişte'?  I hear that the cafe called Enişte's place near Kaş harbour is only so-so, but I still like the name

Hi Felicity,   I don't think anyone has yet suggested the name Merhaba for the new restaurant.

Sorry, HolmfirthNicky, looked back properly over this thread and see you have already suggested it along with some other names.    I think it is a good name - even if you get the bottle of wine if Felicity goes for it!

How about "Gadafi Gardens". Believe this chap is looking for a new venture. It could be painted all green and have only one table.....Permanantly booked. Live music could be replaced with a raving speech....my waiters all love me!..... Can I have my wine now?

Best Turkish word ever (and food related) is "ahududu".
Means raspberry.
Although I guess that might be misconstrued as comment from a critic!
