Villa Kismet - Near to school

Hi,
We had our first visit to Kalkan in 2009 staying at the Villa Sari Lale and absolutely loved it.  We have decided to go again next year but need a larger villa, I have internet searched and found a villa called Villa Kismet.  It looks beautiful from the website, but just before we book, has anyone on here stayed there or does anyone have any comments for me, I know what a helpful lot you are on here!

We stayed there last year before we bought our villa-its beautiful and well equipped but quite a long walk home! Mail me if you want any more info...

Can you not contact the owner of Villa Sari Lale directly?  Maybe it's just not being advertised anymore, I'm sure they would gladly rent to previous guests.  Worth a try.

I may be wrong, but it is worth checking, Villa Kirmizi Lale looks to be next to Sari Lale and of similar/same design. Perhaps this could be an alternative for you?

I stayed at Villa Kismet about 3 years ago.  It is lovely but unfortunately there were problems with the pool which the agent didn't deal with very well so that spoilt it for us especially as we'd chosen a villa to enjoy a private pool in the July heat.  However, I'm sure this was a one-off incident and was beyond the control of the owners, who are extremely helpful and want guests to love their Kalkan home as much as they do.  The views from the upper floors and roof terrace are lovely and the house is spacious, tasteful and well equipped.  We found the walk into Kalkan fine - there was an unmade road at that time which took a bit of negotiating if wearing heels but I think the area is probably more developed now.  We tended to use taxis to get back at night but that was probably a bit lazy of us!

Villa Sari Lale is still being rented out - I've sent you a pm with contact details and is advertised only on OwnersDirect. It's worth pursuing as I agree, it's a lovely villa

Thanks for everyones, replies. I have private messaged some of you that have been particularly helpful.  Please can I also clarify that I have since found out the beautiful Villa Sari Lale is still for rent, as I would hate to put off any prospective renters.
