Mountain walk.
« on: August 18, 2010, 08:40:01 PM »

Hi all, when we were out in May my o/h climbed the mountain behind our apartment (behind the Samira Deluxe). He'd been threatening to do it for the last 6 years with our friend Engin (from Piazza Pizzeria) but it never happened so after arranging it again and thinking he wouldn't turn up Engin arrived armed with his rucksack and supplies. Off he went with two more friends from apart above us'the only problem was he had a hangover after a good night the evening before  ;D ;D ;D  Three hours later they rang from the top where the flag is'tired (feeling sick!!!) but happy'the only problem was what goes up has to come down  Six hours in total later when we were beginning to think we'd lost them they arrived back, tshirts and shorts torn and very bedraggled but me being the good wifey had ice cold efes waiting!Never again was the reply when i asked if he would do it again but Engin is now organising another walk (HOPEFULLY IN ANOTHER 6 YEARS HE SAYS) :'(  haha.Has any other mad people done this walk? It would be interesting to find out. Patx

Hi toprngr,

Not the same walk next time, the next walk is somewhere in Bezigan, not quite as bad i don't think

Noooo i will def not be joining him!!! much as we do lots of walking he said it was very dangerous (hence the worrying about them returning) My daughters boyfriend did it a couple of years ago on his own and he too found it very hard, its not so much the going up apparantly the coming down is much worse, i must put some pics on when they reached the flag. :-*
