Just wondering am I right in thinking that Goldtrail were a booking agency rather than a tour operator as I've never heard of them before . I'm just about to book flights for the Bank Holiday with Thomson and any news like this makes you feel a bit jittery. Have noticed that the price of the flight we want has been going up gradually all week, all down to supply and demand I suppose. That'll teach us to hang on deciding on a villa, LOL!

I'm pretty sure Goldtrail were a tour operator and held an ATOL licence - our daughter booked flights via an agency with them, and according to the Civil Aviation Authority website is entitled to file a claim for reinmbursment via the ATOL scheme. They have actually been sent a claim form by the agency who arranged their flights.

Yes they were a tour operator from new malden Surrey,they had a sister company trading as Sunmar...it now appears they have been on the credit blacklist for the last 2 years......surprising no alarm bells were sounded!!
