My friend was in Bodrum when XL went under...he paid £550 for each of his family(4 people) for what a few days before was £200 quid!!..it was either that or wait and wait and some more waiting...when he boarded the plane it was half empty ...where's the sense in that? ..i do hope that Goldtrails people get back OK..but anyone looking for a cheap flight in the next few of weeks? ....Yikes!

If the coalition government want to push new legislation through parliament about the schools building programme using their emergency powers - meant for terrorism really not to foster good PR - perhaps they should consider something preventing UK companies, at least, profiteering in this outrageous manner.

Kalkan4eva- I think it's called supply and demand, you can't really blame them. When they have excess flights we are all happy enough to pick them up cheap.
What should have been looked at was the merge of First Choice into Tui and Airtours into Thomas Cook thus reducing the number of charter airlines.

Mercimek, I know there's nothing that can be done in a free market society...I'm just on my soap box. That said, did you ever think the banks would be as regulated as they are currently are??
