Hi - does anyone know where to buy water colours / paintings / pastels of local Kalkan scenery? When I was in Kalkan last October I did look round, but could only find a few single colour ink paintings / drawings outside a gift shop on the way down to the harbour.
Was that because it was so late in the season? Or perhaps I was walking round with Effes Shades on again ...
Back again this year - any tips? Thanks.

You could try Desti Gift Shop down past Moonlight on the left hand side.  Cemal has a lovely selection of water colours painted by himself and one of his students. Also Sarpedon Gallery at the end of the harbour.

There is also an art shop in the arcade of shops at the side of the Yali supermarket.

That's great - I didnt explore quite as far as I could have last year, first visit, was wonder-struck with the lanes toward the herbour - bit of a longer visit this time so some mooching is in order. Thanks to you both!

We have bought several lovely paintings and prints from the Sarpedon Gallery and gift shop down by the harbour under the Pirat Hotel.

Gallery Sarpedon has a selection of originals and prints of Kalkan along with a good selection of artworks from some of Turkey's well known artists.
