Additional passenger information

Yes Begonvil that's right, but as we were required to input our API last August, I wonder why people who booked flights for this summer with easyJet (usually around Autumn for the following summer) weren't asked to add this info at the time of booking?
Just wondered if it depended on the departure airport ie Manchester started asking for this information before say, Gatwick?
Just a thought as to why some people were required to input the information earlier than others booking with the same airline

Hi k4E just been thinking about this, they probably need a up date of the information every booking, because what if you renew your passport, its going to have a different number!!!

easyJet store the information..and you hope that technology is advanced enough to flag up when your passport goes out of date and prompts you to update the API when you renew...you'd think..?
Still doesn't explain why we were required to input API last August when others booking on the same airline weren't...maybe we're deemed a security risk
