Boaters Bar - Free Food!!

Last night went to Boaters Bar (used to be Barcode) next to Mojito behind the car park.  Every Wednesday they are doing FREE food - the most delicious selection of cold mezes - some of the best tasting meze I have had in a long time.  Met the lady who made it all (wife of the owner Omer(??)) and congratulated her on all the delicious food (most of which was still there at the end of the evening  ).  She also makes amazing English style cakes - had some lemon meringue pie and chocolate brandy cake - absolutely to die for.   

The food is totally free - you just pay for the drinks - how good is that - obviously it is to encourage people to visit the bar - but why not - I wish them luck - I will be back next Wednesday! 

Before anybody asks - NO I dont know the owners - NO I am not connected in any way with the bar - other than I am reporting my own good experience - go and try it for yourself!

Hi Sounds great-we are taking 5 teenagers with us in August!  Do you think the free food will still be on durng the height of the season?

Every now and then, it proves worthwhile putting 'free food' into the search box. May give them a try tonight!

Went along late-ish last night - a warm welcome from the owner and his family, really lovely and plentiful mezes and great 'proper' music (in spite of the overpowering electrobollox coming from a nearby bar), plus delightful company (and you too, of course, Felicity).  Well worth a visit.
