Access to YouTube, Google etc

A number of people have been asking how to still view Google maps etc whilst in Turkey. Whilst local laws and customs must be respected there is an free application called Tor available here which may assist

 Google maps are not blocked.  http://maps.google.com
 
YouTube:  http://www.youtubeproxy.org - there is a small fee to pay to use this but you can watch videos too.

For things not videos:  http://www.atunnel.com

OK, now I am showing my ignorance - some law against checking out Google maps whilst in Turkey? be grateful if you could shed some light ... thank you!

I have no problem accessing Google maps from Kalkan but some people do.  Some of Google's sites such as YouTube, sometimes maps.google.com and sometimes translate.google.com are being blocked by Turkish due to legislative decree.

YouTube is always blocked but there are workarounds.  Maps and Translate seem to work for some, not for others.
