Good Hospital Fethiye

Need info on good Hospital in Fethiye, for general Bupa type health check up.

Can anyone advise on positive or negative experiences?

Telephone numbers of good Hospitals would be appreciated

I have been a patient at the Letoon Hospital and very pleased with the service. They have a 'tourist' service (for foreign residents too) who provide a translator if the doctor doesn't speak adequate English. An excellent service.

I have used both Letoon and Esnafe in Fethiye.  Both good for general, routine things.  Wouldn't recommend a knee implant or other serious op though.

Esnafe offers a thorough check-up, they have a brochure in English explaining what you get for a flat fee.  Look up the phone number on the Net, call them and ask for the 'Foreigner Desk', they will connect you to a British lady who can explain everything.  Idem for Letoon.

Hi Buster,

Having spent a week in Esnaf about 18mths ago all I can say is they provide an excellent service.

The 'tourist' service headed by an English nurse, was first class.  They made sure that my wife and I understood what was going on and how my condition was responding to treatment, sorted out all the issues with my UK health insurance provider and arranged for my wife to have a bed in my room so that she didn't have to travel to and from Kalkan every day.

When I got back to the UK and explained the incident to a consultant at my local London hospital, he said that Turkish specialists were amongst the very best in his field.

All in all a very good experience in a trying situation.
