Oliver apartments. Does anybody know of them/stayed at them?
« on: September 12, 2009, 09:00:24 PM »
I am looking to book  at the Oliver apartments which is a block of 8 apartments about 10 mins from Kalkan centre.  I wondered if anybody had ever stayed there - I am in two minds whether to stay at the 'Delfina' apartment or 'Kalkan abode' there.  I have never been to Kalkan and am sooo looking forward to it after reading such good things about it!! We are going in August next year and wondered how bearable the heat was then?!!
Look forward to any helpful comments! ;)

If you go to www.tripadvisor.com they have a comprehensive list of hotel and apartment reviews
never buy a house anywhere without an independent surveyors report

Could it be the Oliven apartments??  I've stayed there if it is - its near the Emir complex.
Currently have a duplex apartment in Kiziltas which we visit as often as we can.

Hi
I think the Oliver apartments have been built by Uluc from the Korsan or in partnership with him, so they will be good ones. However I do do not know where they are!
I think one of the new owners is a member on EK, so I hope they read your post and can tell you more!

Hi again!
Looking at the Korsan site, the 8 duplex Oliver apartments are beside the Regency Hotel. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your help Em!  I am also looking at  an apartment at the Beyhan complex-do you know anything about those - the advert states 15 mins walk to town - is that realistic and they are located on the Kalamar road, so how steep is that?!

Jebbie

The 15 mins walk to town would be about right, however the walk back would be longer as you'd have the hill to contend with. The hill itself isn't that long but quite steep and does take it out of you in the heat, although it is a way of keeping fit but I personally wouldn't be able to cope with it in August, it'd have to be taxis for me, no problem earlier and later in the season though.

Kalamar road itself is fairly flat, from roundabout at the bottom will take you about 10 mins.  As for the heat in August - it is VERY HOT

I own 2 of the oliver apartments, they have been built for two years and you are right they are next door to the Kalkan Regency, just 10 mins walk into town. All of them are furnished to a very high standard and have unbroken views of the sea, because of course there are no other buildings in front of them look at the website www.kalkan delfina .com
