suitable for Babies?
« on: August 11, 2009, 10:48:43 AM »
I'm thinking of taking my 4 month old baby to a Villa in Kalkan in Sep/Oct. Can you think of any reason this wouldn't be a good idea? Feeding isn't a problem, I'm just thinking about weather, insects etc

Any advice?

Thanks
Lee

Our grandson celebrated his first birthday last month while on holiday in Kalkan, and we had no problems with him along the way. He slept well, ate well, and, as I recall, was not bitten once.
Only problem we had was that as our villa was perched so high on the hillside, and the road leading to it so steep, it was impossible to take him out for a walk in his pram.
If we wanted to take him in the pram, that meant a drive down to the village, and start off there.
Apart from that, and the hot sun, which should have cooled significantly when you travel, our Kalkan adventure went well.
Tony.

You should be fine. We had our 8 mth old grandson with us in May. He was fine. Buggy access, where we were staying was the only problem with some of the streets not finished. The restaurant staff in most places, even took the baby for a walk, to let us enjoy our meal if he happened to be awake.

Can I suggest you bring a mossie net for his Buggy. They stock baby items in all the supermarkets, althogh they may not be the same brand names you are used to.
Have a lovely holiday
