We're coming back!

Hello everyone! After our fantastic week in June we've decided September isn't too early for a return visit after all! Last week in Sept and first in Oct. Can't wait. Just got to book flights, transfers and . . . apartment. Having decided we've got the lie of the land following a week in a hotel we think an apartment is the way to go and have chosen a shortlist from here and other websites BUT - anyone got any sure fire pointers to the perfect pad?? Also - we were nicely poached in June (Gad, the heat!) will we be able to move before 7pm this time!!!!!

We was in Kalkan in June and agree it was sweltering. We usually go back in September/October which is a lovely time , not so hot but the sea temperatures warmer, It is also a lot busier

I am jelious as we are unable to make it this September, but will be back next year all being well.

We are also coming back 29th October to 5th November. Hope weather will be ok.  This will be our 6th visit to Kalkan but never had two in one year until this year - had great two weeks in June. Can't wait......

Hi Baggie, yes we also sizzled when we were there the end of June but then returned home to rain, rain and more rain, the shorts have gone into temporary hibernation! Hurray, going back in ten days, wanted to be over there for what would be the August Bank Holiday here and the week after, trouble is it'll probably be just as hot again judging by the recent temps on the forecast. Never mind there's always plenty of shade and an abundance of ice-cold Efes after negotiating those darn hills! Hope you have a great time!

                        Just a few more chilled out people, I personally find September on a par with June. We are there 1st week in Sept this year and 3rd & 4th week October.........Can't wait.

Don't get me wrong, did not mean busy, busy but I find September and early October is very popular and the accommodation gets booked quickly.

June this year was very quiet compared to last year and I think the flight prices had a lot to do with it. Just hope they do not continue to increase the fares. Looking at next years prices and quite expensive at the moment.

We've only visited in August and I thought on looking at the temperatures on this website that they looked lower than last year - is this the case??  Maybe I'm just hopeful as last August was so hot. Although we're arriving on Friday we are thinking of visiting in May next year - how's the temperature then.

I've been a couple of times at the end of May and the temperature was hot enough for me both times.  I was there first few days in May this year and there was some very heavy rain.
