Re exchange rate - as of today

I am getting confused - according to your main page todays exchange rate is 2.44 to £1. -  according to my bank , HSBC , and the Post Office, it is 2.30!   Can you tell me where to get these great rates?

The EK rate is based on the international exchange rate, you may find businesses charge a different rate as they need to make a profit especially when they charge "no commission"

Thank you for your reply re exchange rate.  As I have not been paying attention to this particular thread, at the risk of being boring, where can I exchange my hard earned pounds in Kalkan?

Maryjane, there are six banks in Kalkan (use their ATMs or over the counter when open on Mon. to Fri.) and the post office (PTT). Some shops will also change currency.

So whats the best rate at the moment in Kalkan. I have just exchanged sterling at 2.39TYL in Hisaronu/Olu Deniz this evening and we are travelling home to Kalkan on Wednesday and was wondering whether to exchange more here or get wait untill in Kalkan? Cheers.
