1st time in Kalkan

Hi I'm Brian from Newcastle, travelling to Kalkan for the first time on the 6th August with my family & friends (11 of us) including Jimmo already introduced to this forum. Most of us are Turkey nuts having visited before and never been disapointed but here are 3 in our party who are Turkey virgins but are very much looking forward to coming. Again I would like to thank everyone that contributes to this and other forums like it - you really give first timers a brilliant incite into what to expect.

Had a bottle of EFES yesterday in Newcastle just to set me up and boy it tasted good.

Welcome Brian,..any questions just fire away,someone will know the answer....Boy are you in for a treat! i think you will find Kalkan a perfect pick for your break,Efes? i drink it in wetherspoons but it tastes better when the weather is baking and you are parched!!

Hi Brian. Richard & partner Jan from Yorkshire. Stayed at Kalkan 3 or 4 times in different areas and travelled quite widely.  Be there from August 10th for two weeks. sure we will spot the accents and say Hi. Not really into forums but this site helps you keep in touch and gives some really good info. Enjoy.

Hi turnerrichard3, and welcome to the Ek site,which is very informative in all aspects of what you might want to know about Kalkan.There are 11 of us (7adults&4 sensible teenagers)all nice Geordie people all in Kalkan from August 6th so you might just see us out and about.

I'm a newbie too - off to Kalkan in 4 weeks and 2 days (not that I'm counting!!) and have already found lots of useful info on this forum
