Cafe del Mar/Ivy restaurant

I read on another website a little while ago that the Ivy restaurant is now ''under the management of the owners of Cafe del Mar''.  This isn''t actually the case - there is no connection between the two businesses though they are both located in the same building.  When I was there last week Murat who owns the Cafe was concerned that people might be misled and didn''t want to give the impression that he was in any way involved in running the Ivy.  Just wanted to take the opprotunity to clarify this as it seemed to be a bit of an issue for him.

We ate at both last year and enjoyed CDM but had a really bad experience at the Ivy. Would not want to be associated with it!

Hi John - Murat is very clear that Cafe del Mar isn''t anything to do with the Ivy.  Sorry if my comment appears to imply inaccurate reporting - this wasn''t intended.  Perhaps a visit for another cup of coffee might clarify the situation!
