Nationwide absolutely do not charge for transactions in Turkey and not just with their Visa, you can get a simple "flex account"  cash card. I've got one and used it for many years with no problem and all the advantages of best exchange rates and not having to carry lots of cash about with me.

Katieh has the problem that she won't have time to apply and recieve her nationwide Flex account before kalkan time....might be worth doing it when she gets home for next time,We find it great and have never had problems and like you a very good rate of ex  ;)

This is exactly my problem! Bit slow on the up-take...will definitely be applying for one of these for my next holiday!!
