Yikes!!!!...you truly are a newbie to turkey..it''s a very palatable beer..widely sold and  easy to drink...if you want to try before you go Wetherspoons sell it for £1.89.....in Kalkan you will pay 3.5Tl /4TL..on average.....some of the bars Yali/moonlight charge 5TL for a large draught one..i''m sure after a couple of days you will become expert at guzzling this highly quaffable beverage  ;)
People Of Britain.. When your missus asks "Does my bum look big in this? Never say "Dunno your blocking the light."... just sayin ????

When they bring your first one of the evening to the table pour half of it out and leave the ice cold bottle dripping with condensation......nothing beats it  :) :)

Pop round to my gaff Mr Lizard, I always drink my Stella, from a frosted glass which my good lady pops into the freezer. My other favourite long drink, in a frosted glass of course, is Campari (don''''t laugh) and tonic, in fact I''''m going to fix myself one right now. Cheers!

ps, Efes in the U.K. doesn''t taste the same as in Kalkan somehow!

The best Efes I have had was on a recent weekend break to Istanbul, with my wife. We had a lovely pint(ish) of cold draft Efes, in fact it was so good we both told the barman it was the best Efes we had ever had. Somewhat sheepishly he then admitted that the Efes had run out so he had connected the Efes pump to a barrel of Becks.

Overall I think Efes is okay but nothing special, after a week or so I am usually looking for a change; apparently there are a couple of bars that sell Tuborg in Kalkan (I have only found 1 to date, the Samira DeLuxe).

Thats worth remembering..could be just the jobbie after getting super baked on the beach..we never seem to stop off at the cafe.........could be just like a scene from "Ice cold in Alex" ;)

BL - next time you watch ''Ice Cold in Alex'' keep an eye on the level of the beer in the glasses. Don''t know how many takes it took to film the bar scene, but they must have knocked a few back!

Apologies for going off topic.

I read that it did take quite a few takes, and that John Mills was quite wobbly after!

I had a BIG love crush on Sylvia Syms after seeing her in the film ''''The Moonraker'''' (with George Baker),
showing my age I guess.  ;)  Oops, still off topic!
